Therapy
Substance-Assisted Therapy is a new and still-developing form of therapy. The essential and unifying feature of the various approaches to this type of therapy is the use of consciousness-expanding substances, which serve to soften the boundary between the conscious and unconscious, so that memories that are difficult or even impossible to access with other therapy methods become accessible. Therefore, this form of therapy is currently used primarily with clients who are considered “beyond treatment.” However, the trend is not toward waiting until nothing else helps, but rather making this form of therapy accessible from the outset, thus shortening many long periods of suffering. Since this form of therapy has only regained attention since 2015, after a long hiatus, and is still in development, it is not covered by health insurance companies, nor is there any regulation of the therapy or training in it, nor are there any authorities that can claim sovereignty over interpretation.
