Mescaline

Mescaline is the psychoactive ingredient of certain cactus species such as peyote (Lophophora williamsii) or San Pedro (Trichocereus pachanoi), which are native to Central and South America. Its effects last approximately 12 hours and it can have a hallucinogenic effect, but does not always. Taking it in chemical/medicinal form allows more accurate dosage when compared with ingesting the plant parts.
